Realized profit will sustain your business

Realized profit is the sustainability tool of business. I had a December meeting with all the people at Quru Lab and sang the song of profit to them.

Followed it up with steady emails and messages via our WhatsApp group.

By next month, it will be 8 years since I officially opened shop as a businessman tech bro. Soft 8 years.

Before September 2016 when I opened my own shop, I had been hustling, doing freelance here and there.

But when I finished my ND program in 2016, I finally decided to open a personal shop.

This step introduced me to real Nigerian business life, put me amid Igbo businessmen along the Lagos/Asaba road, and instilled discipline and responsibility in me.

The routine was hectic, money or no money, I had to come to work and open the office.

Morale or no morale, I must come to work and open the office.

Discipline is more important than morale. I figured that I must do what I must do. Excuses can not cook rice.

.

The business environment where I was had another level of energy. Business people there have made a decision. It seemed to me like most of them took an oath always to show up 😃

I learnt how to improvise in those days, although it didn’t seem like anything then. Today, those same old tactics are the weap0n sustaining my business operations. Ability to work around things.

Today, I look back and I can attest that delivering value and getting paid for it is the secret to building a sustainable business.

Wherever value is, money loves to come to.
